A lot of my clients struggle to find the right words when I ask
“What does it feel like in your body?”
We immediately jump to describing our thoughts or emotions, both of which are great.
However, we can help hijack our automatic responses by learning to identify our body’s sensations and reactions to certain situations before we start thinking about the thoughts or emotions.
I want to invite you to try this with me.
For this week, 3 times a day notice what is happening in your body.
1- Where is there more energy? less?
2- Which part of your body is tight? Relaxed?
3-Which part is warm? Cold?
4-How is your posture like?

Here are a few words to help you identify body sensation.
Relaxed Heavy Spacious
Loose Frozen Sore
Tight Out of body Raw
Tingling Goose bumps Jittery
Contracted Escape my body Empty
Warm Cool Open Still
Constricted Nauseous Trembling
breathing Clenched Disconnected
Flowy Pulsing Pit in stomach
Numb Stiff Puffy
Light Tender Sharp
